"Apollo, the god of Music? As if Music, Music could be so moralistic, so self-righteous, so... monotheistic. No, there are as many of us as there are genres of music, each with a pantheon of subgenres. Our temples are built in clouds. Musicophiles deliver our sermons: in the sunlight of a festival, or the darkness of a dance floor, in the crowd of a concert hall, or the solitude of your Spotify playlist."

"You seem surprised, as though you thought we don't listen to the devotees, the enthusiasts, and the musicologists; they all have a home in the temple of their gods. We hear even the nomad and the voyager as they try to quench a musical wanderlust."
"By the look on your face I suppose you want to know what we do with these prayers? Because listening isn't enough? A silent echo to your sorrow and thunderous symphony to your joy is not enough?"
"No, no, it's too late to placate me with your blushes. We listen, and we inspire; paint to a canvas, words to a paper, feet to a dance floor. What more is there if not the courage for expression."
